Digital Services for Oilfield

Oil & Gas decommissioning has garnered significant public concern in Canada in recent years. The pace and volume of abandoned oil & gas assets being decommissioned annually have been excessively slow. Drawing upon my experience in digitalization development, I was asked to participate in developing a Digital Strategy and Execution Recommendation for a contractor in the industry.

My role involved collaborating with customer teams to investigate their business challenges and propose digital solutions.

I collaborated with a Project Manager, Vice President of Engineering, Operations Manager, Field Service Manager, and representatives from various functions within the customer’s organization. I conducted research on industrial issues and trends and assessed the customer’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and internal and external threats. Additionally, I performed a technology audit and formulated a digital plan for the customer.

I presented a comprehensive Digital Strategy and Execution Plan that thoroughly outlined the reasons for adopting the recommended technology and provided guidance on implementation. The plan also highlighted the opportunity costs and risks of not adopting the proposed solutions.

Lastly, through my presentation and Q&A sessions, I effectively addressed customer inquiries and finalized the tailored Digital Adoption Strategy and Execution Plan.
